Credit Manager
Basic Function:
This position will be responsible for managing the credit card credit function for both business and consumer underwriting, including the direct supervision of related staff.
Major Duties / Responsibilities:
- Lead the credit underwriting function for the cardholder program
- Manage, train and develop all business and consumer underwriting staff to ensure quality, professionalism, personal growth and team development.
- Responsible for managing the credit decision process and serving as the escalation point for the senior credit analyst and credit analysts on higher credit limit items, utilizing extensive knowledge of application processing system, FDR, credit reports, etc.
- Oversee policies and procedures for credit area
- Product owner for application processing system; duties include leading the ongoing operation of the system, identifying future needs, and managing upgrades and enhancements
- Coordinating cross-departmental workflow to match organic growth initiatives of the Relationship Team
- Coordinate with all other related departments to deliver excellent customer satisfaction
- Other duties, as related to the Credit Manager function, as assigned
Requirements / Desired Qualifications:
- 4 Year Degree, business of finance preferred
- 5-7 Years previous credit experience preferred
- 5-7 Years previous management experience preferred
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and across department lines
- Demonstrate a pro-active work style to include high level of initiative and dedication.
- Individual should demonstrate a professional orientation
- Ability to interact effectively with customers at all levels, both externally and internally
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to manage high quantity/volume environment while maintaining quality
- Regular and punctual attendance is required
